If your sink is deep enough to hold the fryer while you fill it with water to rinse, its advise to try and use it. After you have washed out the fryer ensure you leave the fryer to dry and rinse before you start to refill it again. Next you need to place the fryer on its side so the open side is over the sink, and then ensure you use a tub to catch any additional oil left inside the fryer. Before you start the cleaning process of any catering equipment ensure you unplug your deep fat fryer and discard the used oil. Once the dripping has slowed to a few drops, set the deep fat fryer upright and discard the oil let over. The above advice is given as a general approach to washing any deep fat fryer.
